WHAT IS IT?

Flaxseed oil, obtained by cold pressing brown flax seeds, is a 100% natural oil with multiple benefits for the body.

The technology we apply (cold pressing) helps preserve the natural taste, specific to the seeds, and allows for the extraction of a greater proportion of nutrients, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, etc., compared to other processes (hot pressing or refining).

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

Omega 3 and Omega 6 are essential fatty acids for heart health, brain development in children, reducing inflammation and joint pain, lowering cholesterol, and controlling blood pressure. Unfortunately, our bodies cannot produce these two essential fatty acids, so the only way we can get them is from food.

Flaxseed oil is beneficial for the entire human body, from the nervous, cardiovascular, reproductive, to the circulatory and immune systems.

Flaxseed oil is rich in fiber, which cleanses the colon of toxins and stimulates digestion. The proteins in flaxseed oil are easily digested by the body and contain amino acids that the body needs. Side effects of flaxseed oil: Side effects of consuming flaxseed oil include bloating and intestinal gas, symptoms that usually appear at the beginning of the diet with this oil.

Precautions! Pregnant women should avoid consuming flaxseed oil as it can cause premature birth and changes in metabolism. Breastfeeding women should also avoid flaxseed oil.

HOW DO WE IDENTIFY IT?

Cold-pressed flaxseed oil is characterized by a golden yellow color, a slightly spicy scent reminiscent of the smell of hay and freshly mowed grass.

Cold-pressed oils may show deposits resulting from the precipitation of salts and proteins. These deposits are specific to cold-pressed oils.

HOW DO WE USE IT?

Flaxseed oil is used raw in salads, sauces, pasta, soups and other uncooked dishes. Treatment with flaxseed oil should be individualized and based on a doctor's recommendation.

HOW DO WE KEEP IT?

Optimal storage temperature: 15-20 degrees C. After opening, the oil is recommended to be consumed within 60 days and stored in a cool place, away from direct sunlight (even in the refrigerator).
Consume preferably before the date written on the package.

OUR STORY

"The story of our oils began in 1998 in the village of Luna in the Transylvanian Plain. We wanted to honor the place and its people. Thus, from the beginning, we carried the name of the settlement in our identity and were proud to be De La Luna. Through what we do best, we came to meet the community that needed to locally process sunflower seeds and transform them into good oil for their families. We value the craft of our parents, we love it and we carry it forward. In this way, we grew, a little bit each season and, from a manual oil press, in a natural rhythm, we moved, in 2011, to a new stage: the shaping of the first Romanian brand of premium cold-pressed oils: The Moon of Sol .

We created the collection of premium cold-pressed oils out of the desire to preserve and cultivate the honest, unadulterated taste of seeds. We thought equally about the nourishing moments in each family and how our oils bring to the diet all the natural richness of raw seeds, processed through a pure process that preserves their original taste and unaltered nutritional qualities. We worked with dedication, always with love, with care for the fruits of the earth and with respect for tradition and community. We closely explored the region and new opportunities to diversify our product range using other types of seeds from local soils. Gradually, in addition to sunflower oil , we have proposed new varieties: pumpkin, rapeseed, walnut, flax and hemp oil."
